i am the owner and designer, but i am also the driver to and from the factory and dye house, the fabric buyer, one of our fit models, and the one who picks out all of our custom colors. i wear many hats at nettle, but my favorite one is probably getting to be involved in every tiny little detail.

eek! this changes all the time for me. i base my favorites on how cute they are, but also how much hell they put me through to make. seriously lol. my allll time fav is probably our silver metallic mushroom dress. my current fav is our dalmatian dot balloon pants. i would have died for both of these in high school.

this is so hard!! i love everything i do at nettle, even the unglamorous things, but i would probably have to pick the archive collection from 2025 as my fav. as someone who is very nostalgic, it was really fun to go down memory lane, and then to see customers get excited too... it was really special!

cancer sun, scorpio moon, leo rising. yes, i am sensitive.

i rescued my doghter rory, from the SFSPCA back in 2022.

TEA! all kinds! (but only one caffeinated beverage a day!!)

my role at nettle has changed so much over the years!! i started in 2021 cutting orders when we made everything in house and then moved on to production sewing. these days i’m the inventory manager, juggling a variety of tasks behind the scenes to keep things moving in the studio. i ship orders, answer emails, organize and inventory our pieces, assist with photo shoots, help grow our wholesale, and if you’re local you have probably seen me at our craft show booths!

my current favorite piece is the dalmatian dot bloomers because they look so cute on everyone who tries them on!! also, i’m not really a shorts wearer, but our bloomers have totally converted me and i reach for them so much on warm days. i especially love to wear them with big chunky boots!

my favorite project has been designing our socks!! my background is in fiber arts and fashion design, so it’s a way for me to be creative at work, which i love!! i really enjoy working with alex to make her sock dreams a reality, collaborative work is my favorite! i love the design process and i feel like every round of socks is cuter than the last. my dream is to one day design nettle socks full time *manifesting* :)

i’m not really an astrology person, just a basic, textbook homebody who enjoys simple pleasures. some would say boring, i say easy to please. three things that i absolutely need to recharge are: a day off with no plans or obligations, knitting with a hot cup of tea, a good candle and my cat, and quality one-on-one time with someone i love eating good food.

*editor's note: def a taurus ;)

my baby boy, dale dribble (yes, after my fav show king of the hill!! iykyk), he is my 14-year-old black cat/gen z son. he is the light of our life and the loudest person in the house, constantly bossing us around at home.

i started at nettle doing general admin support a few years ago after moving from atl to oakland. my role quickly expanded into all of the technical and e-comm related needs of a rapidly growing brand. i do all of our web-design, newsletters, apps, ux, tech support, and plus size fit modeling. i’m also a wiz at organizing meetings, projects, planning, and creating systems that keep things flowing with as much ease as possible. i also support our wholesale marketing strategy as we move into growing that part of the biz in a very big way... just call me the faire-whisperer!

the september top aka the soft volume long sleeve top (a real tongue twister!!) ! i literally wear this style year round... in the spring/summer layered open over a bralette or in the fall/winter as a buttoned-up base under a tank. i even wear it to sleep some nights paired with matching bloomers because it makes me feel like a fancy victorian child.

it’s honestly hard to choose. i love helping organize the summer sample sale and love the creative work i get to do, but i think my favorite random thing is being a fit test model. as a 4XL lady, i’ve always had trouble finding clothes that actually fit my body ever since i was young. it’s been really healing to use my body in a way that’s celebrated instead of shamed to help make sure other fat babes have clothing that actually fits our bodies not just in theory/grading, but in living-breathing-moving reality.

sag sun, scorpio moon, leo rising 🙂🙃🙂🙃

my sweet senior rescue, strawberry rose (like the flower, not the drink). i adopted her a few years ago from muttville in SF after the loss of my soul dog bitsy (aka b-boy, aka bubba). i truly didn’t think i’d survive without him, but taking care of this gentle girl has brought me back to life and filled my heart (and home) with so much love (and strawberry-themed trinkets)

an ice cold fridge cig (aka diet coke) poured over nugget ice in a lav stanley or a thai iced tea with coffee jelly (that i’ll drink at 4PM and then wonder why i can’t sleep)

i am the first and favorite intern at nettle (ivan stinks), a graduate from the fashion program at ruth asawa school of the arts, of which alex, the owner of nettle and my favorite boss ever (please don’t fire me), teaches at, and a current student in the fashion design BFA program at massachusetts college of art and design.

i like anything shiny, crazy, and colorful and the soap bubble mushroom dress checks all the boxes! I’ve been obsessed with the strawberry milk mushroom top since i got it too though.

i would be so bored during my time off school if i wasn’t working at nettle so i’m thrilled to work on anything that’s needed from me. when it comes to making clothes though i’m definitely a stitch-bitch. i. love. sewing.

sophie, sonic youth, beyoncé - i don’t believe in star signs but i do believe in stars.

i grew up in a little apartment by dolores park that didn’t allow pets so i’ve never had one! i pet-sit for my aunt sometimes though and she has 2 cats named squiggy and shirley as well as a dog named benjamin or benji for short.

i help with product and inventory strategy (lots of spreadsheets and big ideas)

bloomers! i have them in just about every color/print nettle has ever done. i wear a lot of scandalously short dresses, so they protect my butt from undeserving eyes.

helping the brand move away from selling only pre-order without going bankrupt!
